The CargoBikeRace at DEW21 E – BIKE Festival Dortmund 2021 presented by SHIMANO has been the most popular side event for the past 5 years. We are organizing a unique 4X eliminator with cargo bikes for the fifth time in cooperation with our partner VeloKitchen Dortmund.

However, it will be a bit different this year with its new theme “Coal, steel and beer, we are cargo-biking here”

The course includes various obstacles and has a length of approximately 400 meters. This distance must be completed twice in each heat, the first time without and the second time with a specified load.

The CargoBikeRace also offers a team relay, where team teams of four have to solve tricky transport tasks.

To participate you should use cargo bikes with loading areas. However, you are not allowed to use bikes with hangers and fixed bags, unicycles, recumbent bikes, or hand bikes. The race director  is allowed to judge the eligibility of the bikes of all participants. Please state whether you will be participating individually or with a team. Please indicate your team name if applicable. You will also have the possibility to rent a cargo bike at cargobikerace@velokitchen-dortmund.de

VeloKitchen Dortmund & DEW21 E – BIKE Festival Dortmund 2021 presented by Shimano & the International Cycling Film Festival (ICFF) invite you to take part in a bike tour with several stops to watch movies.

The ICFF shows short cycling clips that are linked to the respective location.

You will ride a distance of approximately 10K.

Please bring your own bike, suitable clothing, snacks and drinks if needed, and good vides!

Participation is free and at your own risk.

For over 20 years, Dominik Raab has been one of Austria’s street trial pioneers on the bike. As one of the world’s best trial bikes, he travels from place to place to perform on internationally stages. On Sunday, the “Dominik Raab Mountain Bike Trial Show” and “Merida Bikes” will take place live at the city center of Dortmund. Dominik was born in 1985 in Linz. In his childhood, he discovered the fascination of mountain bike sport. In 2003, when he was only 18 years old he won the Austrian mountain bike trial championships.

In the following years, he focused on freestyle street trial with spectacular photo and video project and made the leap onto the professional stage in 2007. Location: North of Petrikirche/Katharinenstrasse
